| Bio: Hailing from Minsk, Belarus, Alex "Diesel" Bolotin has scores on his resume that would make any tournament pro envious. After moving to the U.S. in 1992, Bolotin supported himself financially by beating his friends in Russian card games in high school. Eventually he found himself playing cards in Atlantic City and underground clubs in New York. In 2006, Bolotin made the journey into tournament poker and in no time he was gaining attention for his skills. During the 2007 World Series of Poker, Bolotin recorded 5 cashes including a runner-up performance in the 5k 6-Max tournament for $504,686. In the 2008 WSOP, Bolotin continued to show he was a force on the tournament scene by final tabling 3 different events. Just recently, Bolotin took 1st in the 5k Ante Up for Africa charity tournament and graciously donated half of his winnings to the event’s cause. | ||
