| Bio: Known for her success in online multi-table tournaments and high stakes heads-up sit-and-go tournaments, Melanie started playing poker in 2006 after her brother won the tournament leader board on Pokerstars. She grinded micro-stakes in cash for a while before finding her niche in tournament poker. After graduating from New York University in 2009 she decided to continue pursuing poker full time and consistently ranks on the average profit leaderboards for the $300-1k buy in level at heads up and ranks among the top 200 ranked online MTT players in the world. Her successes include multiple outright wins of the 5rebuy, 10rebuy, 30rebuy, and 50/50s, as well as multiple final tables of the 100rebuy, Nightly Hundred Grand, and Wedsneday Quarter Million. She also won $40,000 in the Stars Turbo Takedown in March 2009. The 23-year old has since started to foray into the world of live poker and has marked the start of her transition in the European Poker Tour where she holds the Ladies Championship title from EPT Prague. | ||
