Although best known for starting the band Anthrax some 25 years ago, lead guitarist Scott Ian has recently been showcasing another prodigious skill - playing poker. After winning the VH1 Classic Rock N’ Roll Celebrity Poker Tournament in March 2006, Ian discovered his new found love for hold ’em and committed to improve his game and focus his efforts towards poker. In March 2008 Scott joined with UltimateBet as an online poker professional with their Online Team UB, and although he continues to produce music with Anthrax and Pearl, can be found online and at live tables playing cash games and tournaments throughout the year.
